Visited University of Technology, Nowshera

A team of GreenWend Energy and SunSaviour comprising Prof M Subhan Qureshi and Engr Saad Rashid visited UOT Nowshera in connection with the First International Expo and Conference 2024 to be held at Shiraz Arena, Peshawar on May 1 and 2. The team was welcomed by Dr Haider Ali, HOD Electronic Technology.

Letter of invitation to ISE 2024, along with Brochure, was shared. Dr Irshadullah, HOD Energy Engineering joined the discussion. They agreed on nominating 3 senior faculty members for Academia Industry Dialogue and final year students to participate in ideas competition and poster presentations.

Then, we had a discussion with Dr Imran Khan, VC UOT/UOETM and invited him to participate as a Guest of Honor. He agreed on maximum cooperation and invited us to UET Mardan also, where he is currently working as Acting Vice Chancellor/Dean/Pro VC. He offered for joint projects at UOETM land near Karnal Sher Khan Interchange.

Visited University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar

To accommodate the academia in International Solar Expo 2024 Peshawar, a visit was made by the SunSaviour team, comprising Chief Patron Prof. M. Subhan Qureshi, Chief Technology Officer Engr. Saad Rashid and Head of Marketing Engr. Aftab Ullah Khan to the office of Prof. Dr. Amjad Khattak HOD Electrical Engineering UET. The discussion was joined by Engr. Waqas representing the UET Jalozai Campus.

Letter of Invitation for International Solar Expo, #ISE2024 Brochure and Academia Participation Guidelines, were shared. The HOD welcomed the GWE team and ensured maximum cooperation for the event.

It was agreed that about 6 faculty members will be nominated from the Main and Jalozai Campuses as Keynote Speakers, Panel Discussions and Reviewers.

About 20 postgraduate scholars will be nominated for poster presentation and 10 for sharing models of Final Year Projects. Cash prizes of Rs 50,000, 30,000 and 15,000 will be awarded to the winners and certificates/shields to the participants.

It was agreed that a joint project will be prepared for funding under the Annual Development Programme KP for improving the efficiency of Inverters and lithium ion batteries.

Proceedings of the International Solar Expo #ISE2024 will be published jointly by GreenWend Energy, SunSaviour and UET Peshawar, online and in printed form.

Visited USPCASE, UET, Peshawar

A team of GreenWend Energy and SunSaviour comprising Prof M Subhan Qureshi and Engr Aftab Ahmad visited USPCASE, UET, Peshawar in connection with the First International Expo and Conference 2024 to be held at Sheraz Arena, Peshawar on May 1 and 2.

Dr Adnan Daud, Associate Professor and HOD Renewable Energy Engineering welcomed the participants.

Letter of invitation to ISE 2024, along with Brochure, was shared. He agreed on nominating 3 senior faculty members for Academia Industry Dialogue and final year students to participate in ideas competition and poster presentations.

Dr Adnan appreciated the concept of a hybrid event covering industry and academia. He suggested that joint ventures may be launched like solarization of the University Campuses, faced with financial and energy crises which was welcomed by the GWE team. He offered support for our upcoming plans of establishing a factory at Rashakai Special Economic Zone for production of solar inverters and lithium iron batteries.

Visited CECOS University, Hayatabad, Peshawar

A team of GreenWend Energy and SunSaviour comprising Prof M Subhan Qureshi and Engr Aftab Ahmad visited CECOS University, Hayatabad, Peshawar in connection with the First International Expo and Conference 2024 to be held at Shiraz Arena, Peshawar on May 1 and 2.

Dr Zaheer Farooq, Coordinator Electrical Engineering welcomed the team and invitation letter, expo brochure and academia participation guidelines were shared. He was requested to provide:

1. Names and specifications of 3 faculty members to contribute keynote lectures, panel discussion and review of Final Year projects and research papers.

2. About 10 students with final year projects and postgraduate research papers as posters presentations. Three prizes will be awarded @Rs 50, 30 and 15 thousands. Proceedings will be published online and as printout.

3. Exhibition of FYPs, etc, at stall.

4. A message by the Vice Chancellor.

Dr Zaheer and other faculty members extended their full cooperation for holding a successful event.

Visit to the University of Agriculture Peshawar

The University of Agriculture Peshawar was visited. The Vice Chancellor Prof Jehan Bakht welcomed the GreenWend Energy team and appreciated the ISE2024 as an important step towards academia-industrial linkages with special emphasis on application of solar energy applications in the agriculture, livestock and food processing industries. 

Dean Crop Production Sciences Prof Iftikhar Hussain Khalil agreed on participation of the faculty members and postgraduate students in the panel discussions, keynote speeches, ideas competition and poster presentations. Dean Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences appreciated the event and desired for developing modules for solar energy applications in dairy and meat processing. 

Prof Amanullah, Agronomy Department facilitated the team in networking faculty members and postgraduate scholars with the event and offered to present a keynote lecture on solarization of agricultural operations in the western as well as regional countries. Dr Mobashir, Animal Nutrition Department discussed new avenues of solar energy applications in the livestock sector. Mr Waqar Khattak, Deputy Director IBMS considered the activity as a booster for the provincial economy and student startups.

Visit to the UET Mardan and AWKUM Mardan

A visit was paid by the GreenWend Energy Team to the University of Engineering and Technology Mardan pursuent to invitation by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof Imran Khan. Dirctor ORIC welcomed the delegates and discussed modes of participation in the First International Solar Expo and Conference. The Honorable Dean joined the disussion and appreciated the event as an opportunity for strengthening the academia industry linkages.  

On advice of Prof Sher Bahadar Khan a team of the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Dr Naimatullah Khan, Dr Hazrat Ali and Dr Tahir Usman joined the discussion.

The senior faculty members of the two universities agreed on deputing at least three faculty members as keynote speakers and members of panel discussions on issued faced by the Society. They will also help as reviewers for the abstracts submmitted online by the postgraduate scholars as well as ideas under the Final Year Projects.
